Board Member, CHRISTOPHER COKINOS is a nature-and-science writer and professor of English at Utah State University. He's the author of Hope Is the Thing with Feathers: A Personal Chronicle of Vanished Birds and The Fallen Sky: An Intimate History of Shooting Stars. He's had work in the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times and elsewhere. Currently, he is president of the Utah Audubon Council. |

Board Chair, TIM WAGNER cofounded BRWC with our Executive Director Dan Miller. Tim currently works as a media and communications specialist for Resource Media. He holds BS in Environmental Studies with a minor in journalism from Utah State University. When he's not working hard to leave a better planet for his teenage daughter, he's playing in Utah powder or blasting down hard surfaces on his carbon Trek. |

Board Vice-Chair, LARRY McCORMICK was born in Illinois and has called northern Utah home for the past 30 years. Larry has been a member of the BRWC since its inception. He is an electronics technician at Utah State University, as well as a naturalist and wildlife photographer. He is passionate about the mountains and takes every available opportunity to explore the Bear River Range. He loves spending his free time outdoors and enjoys backcountry skiing, music, hiking, and camping. He is an avid hiker and wildlife photographer. |

Board Member, SUE McCORMICK is a Utah native with a lifelong interest in the environment and preservation of natural spaces. She loves to camp, explore, hike, ski, and enjoy the local mountains. Sue brings over twenty years of fiscal experience to her position as BRWC’s financial officer. She is presently the Budget and Information Officer for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Utah State University. |

NEW Board Member, DAVE BASTIAN originally hails from California but has spent the past 15 years in Utah. He is the program coordinator for the Utah Conservation Corps. Prior to that, Dave was the Director of Operations at Save Our Canyons and the Membership and Outreach coordinator for the Utah Rivers Council. When not at work, Dave spends his time riding his bike, playing guitar or banjo, backcountry skiing, kayaking, climbing, or sitting in a chair reading. |

NEW Board Member, JUSTIN MINER is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist, with a master’s degree in environmental management with 10 years of professional experience. Currently, Justinworks for Three Parameters+ and is the study leader for the Utah DNR project, to establish baseline habitat conditions of wetlands in Snake Valley. Prior, Justin was the senior GIS specialist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Pacific Region, National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) Program. |
