The Bear River Watershed Council was founded in 2001 to provide a Main Street presence and voice for the watershed. Our mission is to protect biodiversity, maintain ecological integrity, restore native wildlife and habitat to one of the west's most important conservation corridors, the Bear River Mountains.

Since 2005, BRWC has filled a critical niche in northern Utah by focusing most its efforts on addressing impacts from illegal and irresponsible motorized-use across the Logan Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Working with the Forest Service, utilizing a network of volunteers and providing the needed support system, we document these impacts and then implement appropriate signage, barrier, and restoration projects.

BRWC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
